For those of you who were at the Pub Quiz - 42 in all – I hope you all had a great time! Congratulations to the winning team (a return pedestrian ferry ticket Dieppe/Newhaven for all 4 offered by CANCAN) – Messrs Vasseur, Niven, Shirley and Chalk with 33.5 marks out of 40.

IMPORTANT – the Piano Recital (48 rue Montigny, Janval Dieppe) is unfortunately put back to the 17th April, due to M. Lecoutre having some health problems. He’s really sorry about this, but may have to have an operation.

IMPORTANT The Christmas Fair at Bois Robert is cancelled. However, Libby Shirley is contacting other Christmas markets in the area to see if they would accept an “English Corner”. We’ll be in touch as soon as possible about that.

Saturday 5th December at 7.30pm, at “Les Gourmets” at Berneval le Grand, restaurant recommended by Claude Pierre.

For future restaurants, Libby Shirley has had a great idea: members nominate their favourite reasonably priced restaurant and a name will be picked out of the hat. The member who has nominated the restaurant will be asked to make contact with the proprietor for the menu and numbers they can cater for.

Pour les futurs restaurants, Libby Shirley a eu une brillante idée : les membres nomment leurs restaurants favoris avec des prix raisonnables et un nom sera tiré au sort dans un chapeau. Le membre qui aura proposé le restaurant « tiré au sort » devra contacter le restaurateur pour le menu et les réservations.

Her husband even thought of a great title for this: “CANned Food”!!!
