35 of us had a fantastic time yesterday at the afternoon tea - thank you everyone for your participation and the lovely cup cakes

35 d'entre nous avons passé un super après-midi hier à l'afternoon tea  - merci à vous tous pour votre participation et les délicieux cup cakes

 

Margaret Niven suggested that we could share the recipes of the cupcakes. So, could you send me your wonderful recipes. I will then organise a meeting (probably on a Friday afternoon at our house). Each person could explain their recipe to the others. And, if you insisted, you could bring the odd cup cake too!!

Margaret Niven a suggéré que nous pourrions partager les recettes des cupcakes. Donc, si vous pouviez m'envoyer vos superbes recettes, j'organiserai une réunion (probablement un vendredi après-mid chez nous). Chaque personne pourrait expliquer leur recette aux autres. Et si vous insistiez, vous pourriez amener un cup cake ou deux!!!

 

I will do the photocopies and help translate if necessary.

Je ferai les photocopies et aiderai pour traduire si nécessaire.

The next restaurant outing, chosen by Gill Chalk, will be on Wednesday 13th April at Les Embruns at Sotteville sur Mer at 7.30 pm

La prochaine sortie restaurant, choisie par Gill Chalk, sera le mercredi 13 avril aux Embruns à Sotteville sur Mer à 19h30

·         Apéritif (Baltimore - Sauvignon Blanc, cane sugar and lime/Sauvignon Blanc, sucre de canne et citron vert)

·         Salade mesclun de crevettes et légumes vitaminés

·         Blanquette de veau  à l’ancienne

·         Crêpe aux pommes caramélisées au miel et romarin

·         Café, mignardises

 Wine & water included. Price is 26 Euros per person. Maximum no. of people : 25

Vin & eau inclus. Prix est 26 Euros par personne. Nombre maximum de personnes : 25.

Please reserve with me by 9th April latest. We can arrange car pooling if requested.

Book exchange cancelled

Once again, Offranville has kindly agreed to let us use the tea room in the park at Offranville

A nouveau, Offranvillle nous prête très gentiment le salon de thé dans le parc à Offranville.

The afternoon tea will be on Saturday 26th March at 3.30pm

L'afternoon tea sera le samedi 26 mars à 15h30

The theme this year is "CUP CAKES"

Le thème cette année est "CUP CAKES"

Please confirm if you are coming, and if you are baking cakes, by Sat. 19th March

Tea and coffee provided, as usual.

French conversation group

For all the people interested in the French conversation group, Laurence has proposed a first meeting next Thurs 17th Feb. from 7.30pm until 8.30pm at her place.
She lives at the lycée de Neufmesnil. To get there :

The presentation of the evening has been revised in order to give a "pub" atmosphere, combining meal, concert and dance demonstrations. This has resulted in a change in the price. The price will therefore be 20E instead of 10E (including meal). The group price, for a minimu of 20 people will be 15E.

Une petite modification a été apportée sur le format de la soirée qui a une incidence sur les tarifs: pour parfaire l'ambiance "pub" nous avons souhaité mêler repas, concert et démonstrations de danse. Le tarif normal passe de 10 à 20€ la soirée (repas inclus). Pour ce qui est du tarif de groupe, le tarif réduit serait à 15€ à partir de 20 personnes.
